Your Career Break Audit

For corporate professionals weighing up security and freedom.

Analysis paralysis?

Overthinking won't cure your burnout.

I know, because I've been there.

You need an objective review with a 20-year Fortune 500 executive who took a strategic break to design a year of travel.

In this targeted 45-minute Career Break Audit, we will dismantle the logistical friction holding you back.

FEATURED IN:

Meet your exit architect

Hi, I'm Claire Drinkwater.

I help high-performing professionals navigate the logistics of a strategic career break to travel.

Before my career break, I spent a decade in London managing corporate communications for major global TV networks.

Leaving wasn't an easy decision. I understand the pressure of targets, the golden handcuffs of a salary and bonus, and the anxiety of a CV gap.

Afterwards, I restarted my Fortune 500 career in a new country and different industries. Now I've set up my own business and written a memoir about my year out.

Your questions answered

What if I’m not sure a career break to travel is right for me?

This is understandable - it's a huge decision. Working this out is the first part of your career break audit, to help you come to a realistic conclusion.

What if I don't want to quit my job?

That is exactly why we audit your position. We will use my 20 years of corporate communications knowledge to review whether to pitch a sabbatical request to your leadership/HR team as a retention mechanism. If that isn't an option, we will plan a strategic, graceful resignation and review your future goals.

What happens after I book my career break audit?

You will receive a confirmation email and a request to complete a short questionnaire, which I will review before your career break audit session. This will help to make sure our time is focused on what matters to you. I will send you a written roadmap within two days after the session.

What if I need to reschedule my session?

Not a problem. As long as it's more than 24 hours before your planned session, contact me and we'll find a new date or time.
